Public Meeting Scheduled for Corridor H

An approved Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) on the Parsons to Davis segment of Appalachian Corridor H will be the subject of a hearing from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 6, in the Convention Room of Blackwater Lodge in Davis.

Copies of the approved SDEIS, which includes alternatives under consideration to address potential environmental impacts that would result from construction of the proposed ten-mile highway segment between Parsons and Davis, will be available for review at the offices of the Division of Highways in Charleston, the District Eight Engineer in Elkins, the Tucker County clerk, the Region Seven Planning and Development Council in Buckhannon and the mayors and post offices of Parsons, Davis and Thomas. They may also be obtained by writing to Jim Sothen, P.E., Director, Engineering Division, West Virginia Division of Highways, Capitol Complex Building Five, 1900 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston, WV 25305-0430. Comments are due by April 22, 2003.
