Elkins Construction Update - April 2002

The following is a photo tour of construction on the Elkins section of the Corridor H project. Keep checking the web site for future construction updates.



A view of Polino Contracting Inc.'s project from the intersection of Corridor H and U.S. 219. The final step on this job is to complete the finishing work.		A view of Kanawha Stone Company's bridge. Bilco Construction Company, a subcontractor to Kanawha Stone Company, is finishing the work on the parapet walls of the eastbound lanes. The next step is to place a two-inch latex overlay on the deck of the eastbound lanes. The deck for the westbound lanes has been poured and the subcontractor is forming parapet walls for those lanes.

A view of Vecellio and Grogan's bridge. PDK Construction Inc. is the subcontractor on this project and is placing guardrail along the bridge to the access road.		Looking west from Vecellio and Grogan's bridge at Kerens. The contractor is preparing to pour the deck of the westbound lanes. A road that will connect Corridor H to U.S. 219 and County Route 7 can be seen to the left of the bridge.
