WVDOH Advertises Contract for Corridor H Project

Charleston, W. Va. – The West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) today announced it will receive bids for the first construction project between Baker and Wardensville September 18, 2001.

This entire Corridor H section is approximately seven miles in length and extends from the community of Baker to the Trout Run Cutoff Road near Wardensville.

"
We are pleased to advertise the first construction project for the Baker to Wardensville section of Corridor H. It is another step toward fulfilling the commitment of Senator Byrd and Governor Wise to complete this vital highway," Secretary of Transportation Fred VanKirk said. "This is one of six projects comprising the seven-mile Baker to Wardensville section, which is expected to be open to traffic late in 2003," VanKirk added.
