DOH Awards Additional Corridor H Contracts

Charleston, W.Va. – Two additional segments of Appalachian Corridor H will soon be under construction, West Virginia Division of Highways Commissioner Sam Beverage announced today. The contracts, totaling $44.8 million, stretch from WV 55 interchange to the Hardy County Route 1 on both sides of the Clifford Hollow Bridge.

"These projects are a major step toward ensuring motorists safety and opening areas of West Virginia to tourism and economic progress," said Commissioner Beverage. "Governor Underwood and the WVDOH have made the completion of Corridor H a priority. We are dedicated to building this road and will continue to see it through."

Odom Construction, LLC was the apparent low bidder on each contract. The first of which is a $29.6 million project located from WV 55 to Clifford Hollow Bridge. The second contract stretches from Clifford Hollow Bridge to the Hardy County Route 1, and bid for $15.2 million.

Commissioner Beverage stated that this is just another example of how the continued dedication to Corridor H will enhance the economic development of West Virginia.
