Charleston, W. Va. The West Virginia Division of Highways announced today that two contracts for projects on Corridor H in Hardy County have been awarded.
The first project is for the construction of a section of highway from WV 55 to the Clifford Hollow Bridge, State Highway Engineer Joe Deneault explained. "It was awarded to Odem Construction, L.L.C. of Hermitage, Tenn. The contract is for $29,671,501.06," Deneault said.
The second contract was also awarded to Odem Construction L.L.C. for a project to construct a roadway from County Route 1 to the Clifford Hollow Bridge. Deneault said the amount of this contract is $15,289,042.36.
He explained that these two projects provide the approaches for the Clifford Hollow Bridge and that bids for construction of this major bridge are to be opened October 24, 2000. "We are excited to award two more contacts on Corridor H," Deneault said. "With the start of the construction on these new sections of the project, we come one step closer toward the completion of this highway."
