Governor to Attend Corridor H Reception in Elkins

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Gov. Cecil H. Underwood today announced his plans to attend a public reception Monday in Elkins to celebrate the recent victory in the effort to build Corridor H.

"We are finally going to build Corridor H and the recent settlement agreement is certainly cause for celebration," Governor Underwood said.

The governor will be in the area with Acting Transportation Secretary Sam Beverage taking a tour of the Corridor H construction site in Elkins. Construction on the Elkins to Kerens section of Corridor H began earlier this month. The reception will follow the Governor's tour.

The public is invited to attend the reception at 4 p.m. on Monday, April 3, at Graceland on the campus of Davis and Elkins College.
