Governor Underwood, Senator Byrd and community break ground on Corridor H
After nearly thirty years of planning, Governor Cecil H. Underwood, Senator Robert C. Byrd and federal, state and local officials joined Moorefield residents and supporters to break ground May 31 on Corridor H.

Nearly 1,000 people gathered to witness the groundbreaking of the Moorefield – Baker section of Corridor H and to participate in the celebration. The East Hardy and Moorefield High School bands entertained the crowd prior to the ceremony.

To close the ceremony, those sitting on stage simultaneously pushed their shovels into the earth where the future Moorefield – Baker section of Corridor H will be constructed.
