The WVDOH received approval of the Amended Record of Decision in April 2001. Final design is complete for the 16.2-Mile Davis to Bismarck section in Tucker and Grant Counties.
A contract was awarded in December 2010 to Trumbull Corporation for the construction of 6.2 miles of Corridor H, from the existing corridor at Bismarck in Grant County to the WV 93 connector at Mount Storm in Tucker County. Approximately 1.5 miles of this section was opened in November 2014 from Bismarck toward Mt. Storm in Grant County, and the remaining segment was completed in the summer of 2015.
A contract was awarded in August 2012 to JF Allen for the construction of the remaining 9.9 miles portion of the Davis to Bismarck section, from east of WV 32 to the WV 93 Connector at Mount Storm. An approximate 6-mile section extending east from Davis was opened in November 2014, however this section carries two-way traffic along only two lanes of the new corridor. Construction of the remaining portion of this contract is anticipated to be completed in Fall 2016.
The WVDOH anticipates that the Davis to Bismarck section of Corridor H may be completed in Fall 2016.
